Ernie

Ernie, like the rest of us, is Highland mixed with Dexter, so small and hairy. He is tawny – a brownish-orange colour. He is very unsure of himself. Timid might be his middle name.

I haven’t spent that much time with him, but he’s such a friendly fellow that I look forward to getting to know him better. I know that behind all that shyness is an interesting mind. And I think this is something important to remember whenever I meet other calves or humans now that there is often more to them than first meets the eye. And shy, or unconfident people are often very interesting and have a brilliant way of looking at the world, but they just aren’t as sure of themselves as they should be.
